E' USCITA JPM, NOTARE COME SONO STATI FATTI GLI UTILI......

JPMorgan Chase reported better-than-expected first quarter profits Friday, despite what the bank described as soft loan growth.
 
The bank posted net income of $6.5 billion, or $1.59 a share, and revenues of $25.8 billion.


JPMorgan handily beat profit forecasts of $5.21 billion but narrowly missed expectations of $25.9 billion of revenues.

Still, JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon said that he was optimistic.

"We are seeing positive signs that the economy is healthy and getting stronger," Dimon said in a release.

But there are signs that JPMorgan and other big banks may not be able to generate as strong of a profit from home loans as they did a year ago.

Mortgage banking earnings decreased by 31% compared to the first quarter of 2012.
During a call with analysts in January, Dimon had predicted that mortgage results would bounce around for several quarters.

Revenues and profits in the consumer and business banking segment also dropped from a year ago.
One bright spot: Investment banking. Revenues in the segment increased by 9% and profits rose by 28%, largely driven by the underwriting of corporate bond offerings.
Investors weren't pleased with the results though. Shares of the bank fell 1% in premarket trading.

Ibm fallisce gli earnings del 5%, settimana prima Hp del 6%....tirate voi le somme, ma il crollo di Apple dice che qui non c'entrano i tablets, qui c'entra lo slowdown dell'economia

Ibm perde giustamente il 7% dopo la pessima trim.le, Google con ricavi inferiori alle stime guadagna il 3%, ma ha battuto l'eps solo grazie ad un tax rate dell'8% del Q1/2013 rispetto al 18,5% del Q1/2012.....ma il titolo sale (+3%)
Ebay, Hp, Msft, GE ed in generale la pessima (finora) stagione degli earnings dei tecnologici, hanno mostrato un'economia in frenata ma il Dow perde lo 0,1 e il Nasdaq guadagna l'1,12....ecco cosa succede quando c'è troppa liquidità sui mercati....effetto distorsivo della realtà
